Cookie policy
This article explains the cookies Skeday uses, why they exist, and what we do not use them for. Skeday is a scheduling tool for small frontline businesses. The cookies described here keep a manager signed in. They are not used to advertise or to build a marketing profile.
The sign-in cookie
When you sign in, the session cookie tells Skeday which manager account is signed in so the schedule, employees, shifts, and settings pages can load. It is an essential cookie. Without it, Skeday would ask you to sign in on every request. The cookie is tied to your session and is cleared when you sign out.
The Google sign-up cookie
If you create an account with Google, Skeday sets a short-lived cookie during registration so the company name and timezone you entered can be attached to the new account. That cookie is only part of creating the account. It is not used to track you across other sites.
Why these cookies are required
Both cookies are required for the signed-in product to work. The session cookie keeps you signed in. The sign-up cookie finishes account creation. Skeday does not offer a version of the signed-in product that works without the session cookie. You can still read public pages such as the home page, pricing, terms, privacy, and this article.
Cookies Skeday does not set
Skeday does not set advertising cookies, and it does not load a third-party analytics product. Schedule data is not used for ads. We do not sell personal information. Opening a public schedule link does not require the viewer to accept a tracking cookie in order to see a published week.
Paddle checkout cookies
If you subscribe, checkout opens through Paddle, the merchant of record. Paddle may set its own cookies on Paddle's domain while you pay. Those cookies are not set by Skeday on this site. Paddle's privacy notice describes them. Skeday still does not store your card number.
The accept cookies notice
A notice at the bottom of the page explains that essential cookies keep you signed in and links to this article. Choosing Accept stores that choice in local storage on this browser so the notice stays closed. That stored choice is not a tracking cookie. If you clear site data, the notice can appear again. You can open this article again from the footer at any time.
